An Evening With… The Kristoffer Carter Show (and Friends!!)
Surprise guests, epic songs, and maybe a little holiday splendor. Kristoffer Carter ('KC') plays his first show in 13 years, inviting his daughter Elliott Carter (DETENTION) and a few other surprise guests.
"I'm equal parts Ted Lasso and Dani Rojas," says Kristoffer Carter. The former referring to his career as an executive coach for C-Level leaders. But isn't Rojas the 'football is life' guy? Carter continues, "but instead, music is life. Always has been, always will be." Since hitting pause on his music career in 2010, Carter raised a family, launched his company Epic Leadership, and published his first book (Permission To Glow, Page Two, 2021). "Music never let me quit!" Carter laughs. His daughter Elliott joined her band DETENTION when she was just 11. Their family travels to support their daughter's shows throughout the Midwest and SXSW. Carter has continued to write songs and produce. "Whenever Elliott is home, we share music. Lately, it feels like we push one another other to make a living with music, art, or writing. DETENTION's success inspires me. Those monsters are my favorite live band! Everyone knew this was Elliott's path when she started singing at 8."
The Kristoffer Carter Show is "the power-amp" of KC— a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. The show features tight songs, high-energy delivery, and guitar and bass grooves that bounce from frenetic strums to percussive finger-picking and back. Years ago, Music Connection magazine called The Kristoffer Carter Show "...compelling acoustic/electric energy that echoes classic Elvis Costello." CMJ called it "...Neil Diamond meets Elvis Costello."
KC toured as a bassist in The TwistOffs in his teens. He then moved his band STANKFuT to Los Angeles, packing shows at Hollywood's Hotel Cafe and the El Rey Theater, garnering airplay on Indie 103.1 FM and KLOS 95.5. The Kristoffer Carter Show “SEASON II" (2010), was produced and engineered by Dan Certa (Avril Lavigne, John Fogerty, Kelly Clarkson).
