Fancy Legs
Reuniting for the first time since 2020 in honor of The Rialto's 10th birthday, Fancy Legs is a Rock n' Roll musical group with power pop and new wave tendencies.
Dubbed by Malcolm X Abram in the Akron Beacon Journal as "unfussy, power-chord loving rockers," the band initially formed in 2015, dissolved in 2016, and reformed in 2018 with the core group of Corey Jenkins, John Rosenberg, Mike Karl, Shaun Berringer and Chris Burton.
Joined this time by Samantha Grace (in Burton's stead), the band will take The Rialto stage for the first time since 2019 to run through the best of its catalog and will feature special appearances by Akron-sound legends Chris Butler and Harvey Gold.
Big Pop
Hailed as a "supergroup" when they first hit the scene in 2021, Big Pop is an ever-evolving musical partnership founded by Jeri Sapronetti and Corey Jenkins.
Big Pop will perform as a full band for the first time since 2023 as part of the Rialto's 10th anniversary festivities. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see them back together doing what they do best.
Time Cat
Time Cat is a raw and explosive rock band from Akron, Ohio, led by guitarist and singer Jeri Sapronetti. Formed in 2011 with drummer Sam Caler, the band grew into a powerful four-piece with the additions of bassist Colten Huffman and guitarist Donald Alan. Their sound fuses the spirit of Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Bowie, and Jefferson Airplane with a fierce modern edge.
Known for their wild, soul-drenched live shows—equal parts gritty rock spectacle and emotional ritual—Time Cat performances are unpredictable, high-voltage experiences that leave crowds buzzing. Over the years, they’ve toured the U.S. relentlessly, released three albums, and shared the stage with legends like Chrissie Hynde & The Pretenders, Muse, and Fantastic Negrito.
After breaking up in 2021, the band reunited in early 2024 and is currently re-recording their fourth album, Low Flow, set for release in 2025.
"I want to say thank you for keeping ’the thing' alive. I suspect there will be a new wave of bands coming along in these barren times, you at the forefront, and you have given me that hope."
— Chrissie Hynde
Akronauts
Akronauts formed in March of 2019. The best word to describe their show is FUN and they don't take themselves too seriously. They are a high-energy act combining multiple styles including rock, alternative, punk, funk and grunge. They bring a lively performance with songs that are meant for a broad audience and can play to any crowd. Akronauts are loud! Their music isn't meant for a chill crowd or a small, quiet setting and wouldn't be considered "background music". They will get you on your feet and get you moving.
Phantom Lease
Phantom Lease, Jacob Trombetta and Brenden Vencel, met while working on algorithms to inspect beer cans. Brenden wanted to make ska, Jacob wanted to make new age music, so they combined forces to make neither. Mary Riley joined the band for the upcoming album Goldline my Coffin, in order to scream about the things that make a middle aged suburban woman angry.
Get to the show early for dinner and drinks in The Rialto Living Room - opening at 5:00pm!
