Ophelia
The half-year show hiatus for Ophelia is OVER! The independent emo band is releasing ‘The Voyager’ on all platforms at 12pm EST on July 28th. To celebrate, we’re having all of our favorite local bands (and best of friends) out to The Rialto to headbang and mosh along with us! The boys in Ophelia have been hard at work preparing this EP for your ears, and it is by far their most honest and heavy-hitting record to date. We hope you can connect with this EP as deeply as we were in the writing process. Come hear the new tunes (and maybe catch some classic emo covers with some very special guests while you’re here)! Let’s get 100 people out and lift the roof off this place!
This Summer
This Summer is a five-piece emo/alternative band formed in 2020 with a diverse, midwestern emo influenced sound. The band is currently planning a spring tour throughout the Midwest after the completion of their first LP “Liminal Space”.
The Goners
Sonoa
Sonoa formed in 2018 in New Brunswick, NJ, while the members were studying at Rutgers University. The band relishes the tasty guitar riffs of midwest emo but avoids the yelling: they love a delicate verse while also reveling in the usage of an explosive outro. Sonoa released their latest single, "Haze," in April. The song showcases those same defining characteristics, and Sonoa plans to release several new songs by the end of 2023, which will solidify their reputation for concise storytelling and emotional instrumentation.
