MEET OUR ARTISTS:
Influenced by the sounds of Julia Michaels and Sara Bareilles, Shelby has combined her love of storytelling with catchy earworm melodies. With songs about anxiety, inadequacy, and the ups and downs of love— her music reflects her personality in an honest and open way. After damage to her vocal cords in early 2015 that would later require surgery and three months of complete silence, she relied heavily on songwriting to get her through it all.
Shelby released her debut album, Make Sound, in February of 2018 and followed it up with her sophomore EP, Bad for Me, in June 2019. Overthinking, was released in early 2020, and her body positive anthem, Nothing Wrong With Me, dropped early 2021.
Her song, Out of Here, was a finalist in the musical theatre songwriting competition, Write Out Loud, founded by Broadway's Taylor Louderman. Other accomplishments include winning the Akron High Arts Festival in 2017 and finishing as the runner-up the following year. Shelby is a proud endorser of Kahua Ukuleles.
Shelby holds a BA degree from Kent State University in Music Education. She currently teaches K-5 general music in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
Addy Crocker is a 22 year old who grew up in the small town of Doylestown, Ohio. She has had an immense passion for music since around the age of five. Addy took piano lessons throughout elementary and middle school. She played the trumpet in band and sang in the school choir through her middle school and high school years. She also self taught herself guitar, ukulele, and dabbles in playing the cajon.
Addy’s musical inspiration comes from her favorite artist, Christina Grimmie. Addy has watched Christina’s power and control over her voice grow as she continued in her musical career. Addy strives to gain more power and control over her own voice in the same way that she watched Christina gain hers.
Addy is new to performing, but she hopes to continue a long life of weekend gigs and jam sessions. She looks forward to making new connections with others who are as passionate about music as she is.
Hansen is currently 17 and has been playing music and singing in one form or another most of her life, but it has become a real passion the past 3 years.
She started out teaching herself the ukulele, and progressed to 6 and 12 string guitar. She plays several other instruments and has a beautiful voice as well!
She received encouragement early on from local Irish band Celtic Rush and really started to spread her wings at local open mics in Northeast Ohio. Through these open mics she has met so many great local musicians like David Gerrard, Chris Haught of Hudson Run, Shawn Atkinson, the late Michael Wilsterman, Maddie Indre, Lauren Brabson and many more, that have became mentors, friends and family.
Hansen is now headlining her own shows where she plays a variety of music. She also enjoys sitting in with the classic rock and blues band HUDSON RUN.
