Samantha Grace & Her Boys
Electric singer-songwriter Samantha Grace is celebrating the release of her new single “Be A Good Girl” with a release party at The Rialto Theatre on Saturday, November 27.
Samantha is Cleveland born, and currently based out of Akron. Samantha has been playing music since she was a child and began writing and performing her own music five years ago. In 2019, she released an EP titled “Kiss N’ Tell” and was featured on Akron Recording Company’s “Where the Hell is Akron, OH Vol. 2” compilation. In addition to performing as a solo artist, Samantha joined Big Pop on synth/keys and vocals.
Samantha has been working on new music, and following a performance at Highland Square PorchRokr Festival, she entered the studio with her backing band, consisting of drummer Benjamin Patrick (a.k.a. Benny Lava) and Corey Jenkins on bass. Collectively referred to as “Her Boys,” Patrick and Jenkins began backing Samantha up over the summer. Patrick’s name may be familiar to some, as he is the owner and operator of Akron Recording Company. In addition, he has fronted local bands such as The Dreemers and Benny Lava & The Guava’s. Jenkins has released music under his own name and has been associated with a number of bands over the years including Fancy Legs, Time Cat, and is Samantha’s bandmate in Big Pop.

Elephant In The Room
Elephant in the Room is the brainchild of songwriters/producers/guitarists/vocalists, Seth Bennett & Alex Scalzo. Adin Merritt
Adin Merritt says he doesn’t know how to shred, doesn’t know many chords, and doesn’t know what key his songs are in. What Adin does is capture a feeling inside of a song or simple tune. Adin lets you feel what he feels, experience what he’s experienced, and be a part of who he is. Adin doesn’t play music, music plays Adin. “Music saved my life,” Adin says, “let it save yours.”
