James Emmett Band / Land of Panda
Saturday, September 29th.
Doors 7pm. Show 8pm.
Brothers Justin and Matt Geraci are back in their hometown of Cleveland, Ohio after a four-year stay in Los Angeles, where they were signed to 2101 Records, the label owned by Lady Gaga’s producer, Red One. While in L.A., they honed both their songwriting and performing skills, even getting a chance to open for Bruno Mars at the Roxy Theater on Sunset Boulevard. When the label folded, they came back to Cleveland to be close to their father, Cleveland rock icon Sonny Geraci, who had top 10 hits like “Time Won’t Let Me” and “Precious and Few” with The Outsiders and Climax back in the late ’60s/early ’70s.
Finally getting a chance to release some of their music commercially with their first EP, Bet Against Me, on Little Fish Records (littlefishrecords.com), the James Emmett Band has fine-tuned a fresh, new indie pop sound, merging several different styles in to a seamless, energetic sound. Mix in a variety of contemporary covers, and you have the ingredients for a lively and engaging show!
